Salzburger Aluminium Group is preparing for the future

The Salzburger Aluminium Group (SAG) has developed into a global player in the field of aluminium and ranks, in the metal-processing industry, as one of the most innovative and soughtafter suppliers in the world today.
In order to be well prepared for future challenges in an ever-increasingly complex global market, new organisational structures have been created within SAG. This should optimise the strategic focus and customer service as well as increase the capacity for development. SAG Materials is made up of Aluminium Lend GmbH & Co KG, SAG Alu Recycling GmbH and SAG Sohar LLC. SAG Materials stands for the development and production of high-performance aluminium materials.

The products are employed in the form of alloys, high-performance materials and semi manufactured products for exclusive market niches as well as in the entire automobile industry, which requires extraordinary mechanical properties in tool-making and mould-making, where customised solutions promise high cost efficiency, from the manufacture of ships, machines, models and lightweight construction to the production of electronics units. The recycling of materials in an internal production cycle brings with it, in addition to economic advantages, comparable advantages concerning ecologically important aspects such as the protection of resources, decreasing of emissions, energy savings, etc.

SAG Materials achieved a turnover of euro 122 million in the year 2006 with 92 employees. SAG Motion is made up of Alutech GmbH, Alutech Nederland B.V., Fueltech Sweden AB, SAG FRANCE SAS, Alutech Slowakei sro, Euromotive GmbH & Co KG and Thixalloy® Components GmbH & Co KG.
The companies of SAG Motion Group develop and produce high-tech components and systems with the main focus on aluminium.
These products are: fuel tanks and oil tanks, air pressure tanks, toolboxes, window systems for busses, compartment doors for busses and commercial vehicles, energy management systems, lightweight seat structures, structural components and hinges, items for the protection of pedestrians and air reservoirs for pneumatic suspensions for the automobile industry as well as a variety of components for the motorcycle, aerospace and railway vehicle industries, among others.
With this wide range of products, SAG Motion Group achieved a turnover of euro 170 million in the year 2006 with close on 1000 employees.

All R&D activities are combined at the headquarters in Salzburg, Austria, with the aim of becoming a global reference point in terms of innovation, technology and quality in the relevant markets.
The new organisational structure now makes it possible to devise new ideas, strategies and concepts.
In this way, the latest research findings are incorporated into product development and are consequently applied in the manufacturing process in order to be able to respond even better to customer wishes and customer needs in future.
