Focus on transports with Alumotive 2009
Appointment in Montichiari from 2 to 4 April

It will be the prestigious Garda Exhibition Centre in Montichiari, Brescia - the second exhibition centre in Lombardy - to host the 4th edition of Alumotive, International Exhibition of Components, Subcontracting and Innovative Solutions in Aluminium, Metals and Technological Materials for the Transport Industry.
Conceived and promoted by AD Expo, Alumotive arrives in Brescia after the debut edition in 2003 in Bologna and two editions - in 2005 and 2007 - in Modena. Brescia is a well-known location internationally and a centre with respect to one of the main European industrial and metallurgical poles - that of Lombardy - which, together with the neighbouring areas of Veneto and Emilia Romagna, is among the first world markets in the production, transformation and recycling of metals and in the production of components in good part destined for the transport industry. Alumotive 2009 represents the showcase of this excellence, a unique industrial patrimony of undisputed international valence, able to at tract designers, technicians and decision makers of the most important European vehicle manufacturers.
Alumotive boasts the endorsement and support of the main institutions, associations, agencies and groups on a national and international level, which guarantee the event a remarkable voice and visibility and that has allowed it to make a name for itself as a privileged opportunity for encounter and comparison for transport subcontracting. Not by chance have the majority of the associations that sponsored the event in 2007 already reconfirmed their support for Alumotive 2009.
"Thanks to the strong interest of the main businesses estab lished in the territory and of the local institutions", declares Mario Bertoli, CEO of AD Expo with satisfaction, "Brescia has secured the 2009 edition of the exhibition, today known as the main international observatory on the transport industry and on technological evolutions. It is a unique event that allows a comparison between subcontracting, applications and materials in the various sectors of automotive, heavy transport, railway, nautical, aeronautics, and aerospace".

Technological materials: undisputed protagonists
Next to a complete and qualified exhibition of extruded and rolled products and iron castings, high resistance steel, aluminium, magnesium and titanium, components in composite materials and polymers, varied components for automobiles, motorcycles, commercial vehicles, public and nautical vehicles, special vehicles and aeronautics applications, Alumotive puts on display the technologies of transformation, and joining, precision mechanics, finishing, engineering and design, prototyping, the production of models and moulds, simulation, applied research and development, technological and product innovation, and new materials.

Transport subcontracting at the convention
As occurred with exceptional public success in the past editions, the Alumotive 2009 exhibition will be complemented by a simultaneous rich program of highly specialized technical meeting sessions - organized thanks to the precious contribution and coordination of the many trade associations that support the event and that will focus attention on materials, processes, technologies, research and innovation. The program of the technical sessions, which has still to be defined, will deal with the following topics: Coatings and Finishing, Powder metallurgy, Foundry and Diecasting, Aluminium alloys and special Metals, Railway industry and e mass transportation, Aeronautics, Nautics, Robots and automated systems, Mechanical engineering jobs, Tests and certification, Design, Composites, Welding and Assembly, Rapid Prototyping and Rapid Casting, Innovative materials, Dies and Plate bending and fixing.
