FACE currently has five main objectives:
1) Achieve the full liberalisation of primary aluminium and aluminium products worldwide, thereby producing a level playing field and fair competitive environment for all.
2) Promote the use of aluminium and its economic, social and environmental advantages.
3) Assess the impact of new technologies on the production, semi-fabrication, trade and use of aluminum.
4) Reduce the costs of primary aluminium products thus stimulating demand.
5) Grow its membership.
